Test 2: Intermediate Problem Solving
Supplies:
- · A large bath towel or piece of cloth of a medium weight that is large enough to cover your dog’s head and shoulders completely.
- · A stopwatch
The Test:
Bring out the bath towel/piece of cloth and allow you dog to sniff it. Place your dog in a sit. When they are calm, quickly toss the towel over the dog’s head and shoulders. Start the stopwatch and silently watch your dog.
Scoring:
- · 5 points - if they manage to get out from under the towel in 5 seconds or less.
- · 4 points - if they get out from under the towel in 5 to 15 seconds.
- · 3 points - if they get out from under the towel in 15 to 30 seconds.
- · 2 points - if they get out from under the towel in 30 to 60 seconds.
- · 1 point - if they fail to get out from under the towel in less than 60 seconds.
